I’m trying to tell myself that this is all for the business, that it’s because I want everyone to be able to create beautifully curated table settings, which are not only stress-free to put together, but are affordable for every budget too. As much as that is true, I would be lying if I said it was the main driver for creating a blog for each box.

But honesty is a key value of both mine and Tavola Table Dressing, so it’s important I share with you the real reason…

It’s true! I now have both purpose and reason for spending hours on the internet and in shops looking for those items which bring everything together. Before Tavola, I spent far too much time procrastinating doing this, taking me away from actually getting done the things I needed to. Now, I can still spend hours doing it but in the hope and knowledge that it will benefit others, making everyone’s experience in table setting as simple and easy as it can be!

So what can you expect?

When creating the idea for Tavola Table Dressing, I bounced around numerous thoughts for exactly what I wanted to be part of each box. Did I want to include cutlery and crockery? Table cloths? Table linens? Candles? Glasses? The list could have been endless! So I bought it back to my main values and the mission of Tavola:

Sustainable - items in each box would be able to be repurposed and eco-friendly materials would be used wherever possible.

Efficient - with the support of the guidance card, anyone could easily open the box and have the perfect table set up in a matter of minutes.

Simple - to only include what people actually needed, allowing them to still add their own style and items.

Timeless - themes which last the test of time, which have come round again and again ensuring multiple uses of the box.

As a result of this, I decided to not include items such as cutlery and crockery. Not only would this have greatly increased the cost, I figured that most people already owned these items and therefore it wasn’t essential to have them as part of the boxes. Simple.

However, I also want there to be the option there for people who want to layer in those extras to elevate your experience even further. Each blog will walk you through the different elements you could add to create a complete experience for your chosen Tavola box. Think Artisan pieces, hints and tips and links to where you can buy items for each price point - there truly is something for everyone.
